Testimonials

It is difficult to remember just how small your child was at a certain age. Capture those dimensions in a life size bronze portrait and hold that memory forever.

"Sheena's interpretation of my husband Chris Fulford astounds me actually - it takes my breath away every time I walk in and see him, it's like he's there and so alive- she's captured every millimetre of his face that I know so well - it's quite extraordinary particularly in different lights of the day - where I can see all his expressions and movements at different times... like she's known him as long as I have - just magical."

Christopher Fulford
"Over a period of a year I sat for Sheena six to eight times in her beautiful studio outside Rye, having never experienced this before I was surprised how easy it was. The time passed quickly with regular breaks, coffee and great conversation. The final unveiling before the casting proved to be an eerie experience followed by real excitement. It's not easy to talk about images of yourself, however the finished bust has proved to be a constant presence, those who know me well say "it lives, is always surprising and captures all aspects of my personality and character with true flair. The whole process from committing to the project, seeing it through and living with myself on a plinth, has been very rewarding and cathartic. I think this is a stand out piece of work by Sheena Austen."

Sarah Jempson
"I think Jonathan's sculpture is quite magnificent and very imposing. Also totally him in every way and a beautiful piece of art work which I am proud to have on display."

Jonathan Jempson
"I sit on the window sill gazing out on to my garden, and it is admired by everyone. We are so glad we had them done."
